Proctored Games was started in 2023 by a high schooler who wanted an outlet for his creativity and a haven from the proctored environment of school. What started behind closed doors as an idea quickly grew into a YouTube, CurseForge, Modrinth, itch.io, and Newgrounds presence, debuting in 2025 to release 10 games that year.
Since graduating high school in 2026, Proctored Games has been hard at work developing both Minecraft mods and video games, with an eventual Steam release planned.
